Ask the agent
How do I get real estate agents to leave a review?
The silence isn’t about your photos. It is about who else reads that review. You keep asking your best agents, they keep going quiet, and you start thinking the work wasn’t good enough. It was.
Agents hide their photographer on purpose
A public review is a referral to the agent across the hall. She knows it. Ask an agent who shot her listing and you get "If I told you that, I’d have to kill you."
The happiest ones go quietest. You are her edge in a building full of people selling the same houses, and a five-star review with your name on it hands that edge to everyone on her floor.
So the half that don’t reply are not unhappy. They are protective. That is the compliment, and it looks exactly like being ignored. You have been reading that silence as a grade. It isn’t. It is the same reason she won’t tell the agent across the hall which lender she uses.
Let the system ask, and ask for one sentence
Stop asking her to remember. You would have to ask ten times, and you won’t.
Your CRM sends three messages after delivery: a thank-you, a check-in, then the ask. Nobody is chasing anybody. It just arrives, three times, on a schedule you set once.
And swap the ask. "Leave a review" means a login, a star rating, and a paragraph on her lunch break. "Glad you’re happy. Mind if I grab one line on what stood out?" is a text she can send back from the driveway.
I never reviewed my photographer in ten years as an agent. He was my edge, and a review was a gift to my competition. One line to him privately, I would have sent in a minute.
Every review ask carries a referral ask
The review was never the prize. The ask that grows the studio rides on the end of it: "Anybody else in your office I should meet?"
Give her a reason to answer: "I’m giving away five free drone packages this week." Now she is doing a colleague a favour, not handing over her secret.
A review helps a stranger decide. A referral hands you the next agent. Cineminn has about forty Google reviews, and in a busy month it adds more new clients than that. The referrals did it, not the stars.
That is the three-line message, and it takes one minute per agent: how did the listing go, one sentence I can use, who else in your office should I meet. Send it to every past client today.
How did the listing go? Mind if I grab one sentence I can use? And who else in your office should I meet?
Being her secret is the compliment. The referral is how she pays it.
Today: message every past client three lines: how did the listing go, one sentence I can use, who else in your office should I meet.

- Why won’t real estate agents leave me a Google review?
- Because a public review is a referral to the agent across the hall. The happiest agents go quietest; you are their edge and they keep it. It is not about the photos.
- How should I ask a real estate agent for a review?
- Let your CRM ask, three messages after delivery, and ask for one line instead of a review. "Mind if I grab one line on what stood out?" is a text she can send from the driveway. No login, no stars.
- Is a referral better than a review for a real estate photographer?
- Yes. A review helps a stranger decide; a referral hands you the next agent. Put "anybody else in your office I should meet?" on the end of every ask and give her a reason, like a free drone package.
